Hi,
further to my observations, I am definitely tuned to the correct
frequencies, we have several local stations, 96.4, 106.0, 101.0 etc, and are
all the same, and produce the same effect. I had a little free time today,
and fired up a few other receivers to see if anything could be duplicated on
another set, what I found was odd!!
YAESU VR5000, RECEIVES THE STATIONS FINE IN WFM MODE
AOR AR8600, AS ABOVE
YAESU FRG9600, AS ABOVE
ICOM ICR-9000 AS ABOVE
ICOM PCR1000, AS ABOVE
EDDYSTONE 990R, AS ABOVE
EDDYSTONE 1990R AS ABOVE
EDDYSTONE 1995, AS ABOVE
NORLIN SR2152, AS ABOVE
SEVERAL HAND HELD SCANNERS, AS ABOVE
WJ 8617B, AS ABOVE
NOW, HERES A LAUGH, RACAL RA1795, EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE JRC!!!!

Strange or what, Dave
