One minor thing to check is that no pots are dirty - one of my 525's
suddenly started warbling when tuned to a carrier or data signal - turned
out that the potentiometer (BFO?) was dirty and needed some switch cleaner
squirted in in - where it was dirty the resistance it was presenting was
changing, hence the tuning of the rig was changing as well....
