According to an article in Electric Radio, Fred Hager was also
responsible for the Viking Kilowatt aka "the Desk Kilowatt". What is a
big transmitter to most hams must have been child's play for him after
all of his work on high power matching networks.

The last photo on this page is quite interesting:

This is the "Thunderbolt II" which was intended to be the matching
amplifier for the Avenger that never made it past the pre-production
stage.  But if this amplifier looks familiar, it's probably because many
hams know is as the Tempo 2000:

Even though Henry Radio had as much experience designing and building
high-powered amplifiers as anyone, they opted to buy and re-sell this
Johnson-made amplifier with the Tempo 2000 nameplate as Johnson was
exiting the ham business.    According to published data, 897 original
Thunderbolts were sold, no idea how many of the Thunderbolt II models
were sold to Henry.
