When I have used my KW Matchboxes I used transmitting 300 ohm twinlead or 450 ohm window line and never grounded either terminal on the back.  Worked fine.

Printed below the ceramic feed throughs are the instructions to ground one of them for use on 40 & 80 meters, unground for use on 10, 15 & 20 mtrs.  Reading the Johnson KW Matchbox manual, that statement only appears to pertain to when you are feeding a single random wire. What is the correct configuration for use with balanced line? Thanks in advance and 73,Dave, K2DPSent from my iPad> On Nov 24, 2020, at 5:00 PM, Gary H.
