[Johnson] Johnson Ranger Questions

Thanks to the assistance provided, I have gotten the Ranger and Courier on
the air. A few Ranger questions remain however. There are three meter
scales on the Ranger, none of which are fully explained in the manual. The
top meter scale (0 - 150 mA) is used for final and modulator plate current
settings and the center scale ( 0 - 10 mA) is the grid current but what is
the bottom scale (0 - 40 mA) application? Second question, why are their
two different fuses in the AC plug? The schematic shows fuses F1 and F2
while the parts lists shows F1 as a 3A MDL Fusetron and F2 as a 5A MTH Fuse.
F1 is a time delay/slow blow type while F2 is a fast blow type. Is this an
attempt to protect against two different current flow fault conditions since
the current is the same in both legs. Ken K5RG
