[Johnson] Johnson Ranger W4PNY

I am in the process of putting a Johnson Ranger 1 on the air for the first
time.  The Ranger was restored by Dee, W4PNY (sk) in 2006 before he passed
away and I have never put it on the air.  Anybody out their in radio land
have a similar restored Ranger?  I might need to ask some questions
regarding its operation which will be tied in with a Courier linear. Dee's
documentation has some holes although he answered what questions I had in
2004-2006.  So far the CW mode works fine and I am about to bring up the AM
mode with a D-104/T-UG8 base/W2ENY mic element. The goal is to have the
equipment on the air for the 60th Anniversary of NASA on July 29th for the
NASA On The Air (NOTA) events.
