Hi Bob,

Glen's web site is at http://www.k9sth.net/amateur-radio-station.html

These folks restore both the Ranger and Ranger 2 and indicate that panel and
cabinet repaints are available. Not sure if they'd share the formula...

Thanks Chris,
I am very capable with a spray gun thank goodness. I was hoping not to
have to go through the whole process but will if need be. I have been in
the cabinet industry for years and we have an additive to give cabinets
a wrinkle finish much like that on a Ranger 2. I might do a bit of
experimenting there. I do like and use Sherwin Williams single stage
automotive products and I am just finishing up my Viking Valiant refurb
as soon as the faceplate comes back from the silk screener. I used
Sherwin Williams for the dark Maroon and grey colors. I will post the
outcome soon. I was kinda hoping someone might have found a real close
match with spray bombs but I have looked extensively and not found
anything even close that I would want to use which would force me the go
the much more lengthy route. Im a bit anal when it comes to making
things look as original as I can in this day and age. We will keep
everyone posted.
