[Johnson] Ranger 2 case paint color

It's a heavy grain wrinkle finish.  Unless you have a local powder coater who is willing to do custom color on a single piece or are VERY talented with a paint gun, your best bet will be to give the cabinet a coat of gray wrinkle available in bomb cans, and over spray with the matched "correct" color.  As for the latter, Glen K9STH might have that formula on his website, but it appears the domain needs to be renewed.  You should be able to take the cabinet to a GOOD auto paint Store or a Sherwin-Williams that handles their automotive line (I like PPG single stage OMNI, personally) and have it color matched.
Good luck, let us know what you find out and wind up doing.

Subject: [Johnson] Ranger 2 case paint color

Hi all,
Does anyone have a good color match for the original color of the case
for the Ranger 2? Mine is in decent shape but would like to freshen it
up a bit. It has a bit of a texture like finish and I dont want to strip
and get rid of that particular texture if I can avoid it. Most restored
Rangers that I have seen have been painted the grey color so typical of
the time but the Ranger 2 has a bit different case color originally. Let
me know.

Thanks-Bob-W0YBS
