Hello all.... this coinsides with my previous listing of "Valiant switch needed" also....  I got to looking at that switch again, and took it apart and dunno how I did it yet, but it now is making contact for that pin I thought was unrepairable..  Dunno how long it will last, but at least it is loading up the light bulb dummy load fine.. Guess + my fingers.  This rig was in poor shape when I got it "as a worker"... yeah, right.... busted tubes, burnt caps and resistors.  Oh well, at least it gave me something to work on instead of watching the boob toob... it has been an education, to say the least, as last time I worked on any tube gear was back in the 70's...  Anyway, thanks to all for their suggestions, and I will keep those stored away for any future use...
