You can get a tighter wrinkle by spraying it thinner, and ideally baking it in the oven.  Still difficult to get a really even pattern with bomb cans.

    That's what I thought.  I am at a loss as to how to get the small
    wrinkle of the Invader.  I have thought of spraying with the spray
    can gray then overcoat with a gray like the Invader.  All my
    experience of spray can wrinkle has been a coarser wrinkle.
