[Johnson] Need Valiant HV transformer

Hi Stu,
There have been quite a few posts over the years on the lists at QTH
that identify some guys who rewind those transformers. An archive search
would probably turn them up. I'm thinking it would not be cheap and
'postage' would increase the price but it's one possibility.
When I was a kid we could get power transformers pretty cheap..right
down to picking them out of the trash. Not so much any more. All of my
boat anchor transmitters have the "accessory" socket on the back and I'm
thinking of rearranging those so that the old transmitter becomes the
accessory and the power supply lives under the bench. My intent is to
ease incorporating various transmitters/receivers into the shack. That
could be a short term solution for you while you hunt for your
replacement transformer.
