Dave,

I also have an HP-606 and will be glad to hear of your success in the filter caps. I wonder if 475 volt caps are needed: check the turn-on surge voltage to find out. For my 606, replacement can caps would not be needed: I'd just install them wherever they would fit. But after finding out what the below source has, I might well get can type units. An email to them might bring details of the surge rating of their 450 volt caps.

This source is well regarded:

In Canada: good people, good prices, good service.
They do have 500-volt axial lead electrolytics, and single and dual section cans at 500 volts (no triple cans)

The axial leads they have:

          E-caps @ 500 Volts (axial)
10uF at 500V axial	$2.25
16uF at 500V axial	$2.59
20uF at 500V axial	$2.79
22uF at 500V axial	$2.99
30uF at 500V axial	$3.69
40uF at 500V axial	$4.49
50uF at 500V axial	$5.49
100uF at 500V axial	$7.49

And dual can caps:

Dual Section RG & JJ Ecaps @ 500 Volt ( Cans )
( Clamp Mount Type with Solder Lug Leads )
10uF+10uF RG 500V	$8.99
16uF+16uF RG 500V	$9.99
20uF+20uF RG 500V	$11.99
30uF+30uF RG 500V	$13.99
32uF+ 32uF JJ 500V	$8.69
40uF+40uF RG 500V	$16.99
50uF+50uF JJ 500V	$10.89
100+100uF JJ 500V	$11.99

Check their XLS ordering sheet for all sorts of other caps.
