Dave,
Remove the metal cover from an HC-6 crystal. Easily done with a large iron.
Drill a hole in the top of the cover. Put a small grommet through the hole if
you wish.
Remove the crystal element from the holder.
Attached a two wire cable to the pin connections on the holder.
Route the two wire cable through the hole in the cover.
Re-install the metal cover on the holder.
You're done.

Has anyone have a foolproof method to make a secure connection of the
plug in the rear apron crystal socket outlet used to supply 120VAC to
the antenna relay? I am using the very inelegant method of a piece of
duck tape.
