[Johnson] Ranger Valiant etc dial indicator replacement on knobs

Another way to replace the white dial indicators on the Johnson transmitters, i.e.: Ranger, Valiant, etc.
Hardware stores sell a wood dowel rod 1/8" in diameter by about 3 feet. 

Spray it with a white enamel quick dry paint. Not real heavy on the coating.

Using an xacto knife or utility blade, cut off a piece 3/16" long.

Put a small dab of Elmer's glue on a piece of paper and just dip the 3/16" piece into the puddle of glue, just a little glue on the end will do.

Put the piece into the hole and push in.

Then with the quick dry Bic "Wite Out" correction fluid coat the exposed end of the dowel rod.

Very hard to tell the real from the replacement.
