For Sale:

E. F. Johnson Model 250-849 "Antenna Meter" SWR Bridge
Even though it says "Antenna Meter" on it, it is really
just a normal HF SWR bridge. It is in a black box about
5 inches long, 3 inches high, and 2 inches deep, with an
SO-239 connector out each side. The actual meter movement
is an edgewise meter movement. Front panel indicates
"Impedance 50 ohms, Power 500 watts". It is interesting
to note that the front panel is marked "Waseca, Minn. U.S.A"
with no zip code given, so that should give some indication
of its vintage.
This unit is in very nice condition.
I can not find a scratch on it; the paint is very good,
as is the lettering.  $30

Johnson Viking Phone Patch - Model 250-46
This phone patch is made to be mounted vertically beside the rig.
It is about 6 inches high, 2 inches wide and 3 inches deep.  It
is possible that the face plate can be removed, and it made to
be mounted horizontally, but I have not done that.  The reason
I say this is that there are feet on the bottom, and on the left
side.  Maybe the feet on the left side are to protect the rig.
In any case, it has 3 pots on the front for Null, Receive Volume,
and transmit gain, along with a switch for phone patch or
microphone. On the back is a terminal strip for speaker and
phone line.  The microphone input has the 2 pin Amphenol
connector like used by Johnson, Heath, Hallicrafters, and many
others in that era.
This one is in nice shape. Paint is original and nice and
lettering close to perfect.  No scratches that I can find.  $40

Johnson Nye Viking 250-20 Low Pass Filter
This is a 52 ohm cylindrical low pass filter with a cut off
frequency of 45 MHz and 75 db of attenuation. It is rated to
take 1000 Watts of AM, or 5000 Watts PEP SSB.  $35

Vintage B & W model 426 low pass filter
B & W TVI filter, cuts off just above 10 meters,
and will handle 1500 Watts. SO-239 connector on each end.
This is an older model that seems much heavier duty. It
weighs almost twice as much as the newer model, and looks
like it would take more power. It likely was made in the
days that plate modulated AM was the rule. $30

B & W Model 550 A coaxial antenna switch
This model will switch up to 5 antennas, and does NOT
ground unused antennas. It has SO-239 connectors
on the sides, with the coax coming out like spokes
of a wheel.
This particular switch has the optional B & W plate
installed that has the antennas labeled with 28, 21,
14, 7, and 3.5 on the dial.
Of course it works fine, and looks OK also. $40

Hallicrafters S-120 Shortwave receiver For Sale:
Hallicrafters S-120 vintage shortwave radio receiver
from the 1960's. Four Bands covering 550 KHz to 30 MHz.
It has a built in speaker and antenna for the broadcast
band. An external wire antenna is needed for the short
wave bands.
The receiver is working fine.
Signals are picked up on all four bands.
Cosmetically, it looks very, very, very nice. I can not
find a scratch on it, and all of the chrome looks great.
Even the telescoping antenna that was included with it
originally is still with it, as well as the paper stickers
glued inside and on the bottom of the cabinet. Of course
the fiber board rear cover is also on it.
Paper work is included for $95.

High Impedance Hand Microphone
This is a gray mic that is Hi Z, and has the 2 pin Amphenol
connector on it, as used by much of the older Heath, Johnson,
Hallicrafters, and other vintage gear. It has a PTT switch.
It works fine, and is in very nice condition.  $30

Bash Book
This is the book that started it all, back in the 1970's.
"General Class Test Guide, The Final Exam" listing all of
the General Class questions and answers. Nice condition. $8

Special Deluxe CW Key For Sale:
This key is extremely nice, and is special in its mounting.
The key itself is a Nye Viking Speedex oval base 310-001
key, which has very nice action.
What separates this key from any others is the base it is
mounted on. It is solid metal about 6 inches long and 5
inches wide and 3/4 inch thick. It weighs about 6 pounds,
so it will not move across the desk when you use it.
There is a nice beveling around the top. To put it another
way, this is a specially machined base, made for the key.
The metal appears to be copper, although it is not shiny
copper, but instead has a "patina" to it like antique items.
A layer of cork covers the bottom to protect your operating
table. There is a cable with a metallic shielded 1/4 inch
plug on it.
Certainly a one of a kind key! $99

Vintage Code Practice Key / Buzzer For Sale:
Herald Electronics Co. Model SW-12 A
"Telegraph Key with Buzzer"
This is a very vintage unit. It is in its original
box, with the paper work, with an address of simply
"Chicago, Ill", with no zip code, and not even a zone.
I would guess 1950's vintage, but of course that is a guess.
The unit consists of a code key built into a base that
appears to be bakelite. The key is somewhat similar to
a J-38 (without a shorting bar), with shiny nickel plated
knurled nuts. The key has a regular knob, and not a navy
knob. Behind the key is a round cover over the buzzer,
and behind that is a place for a single D cell battery.
The unit is complete with the original instruction sheet,
in the original box. $40
