Thanks Carl, Rodger and Steve for weighing in with your information. Yes indeed, my other 6146 rigs all have the 47 ohm wrapped in 4 turns but not having a good picture of the PA compartment I did not know if Johnson used one of their heavy duty proprietary RF choke products...which are probably impossible to find and pricey if you do. So I am glad to know it is the standard 2 watt carbon reistor with a few turns for added for ma and the kids.  Given that Johnson apparently also used a 47 ohm resistor with 8 turns, I think I'll go with that.
