[Johnson] SSB Adapter

Chuck,

It has been several months since I aligned mine but I will try to help.  
Are you using it with a Valiant?  Be sure that the VFO switch mechanism 
is aligned properly so that you are not getting the wrong VFO output 
frequency from the Valiant (you would get 27 megahertz output if the 
adapter is being driven by the 6.72-6.84 Mhz. output from the 11 meter 
range of the VFO). Do you have a counter where you can measure the input 
to and output of the V1 multiplier stage?  If you have a scope with a 
vertical output (most Tektronix and HP scopes) you can use this to 
provide a high level drive signal for the counter.

If the other bands are aligning OK then the 9 Mhz. oscillator in the 
adapter is fine so it almost has to be a problem with the input frequency.
