[Johnson] Valiant I crystal oscillator won't unkey

Thanks for the replies C.E., Rodger, Roy and Al.  And thank you for 
the info file Roy.  I'll dig right into that.

I've replaced both tubes with no change in the symptom.  I'll go 
ahead and make the keying mod and check/replace the other passive 
components mentioned.

I neglected to mention that I have previously replaced the caps, and 
upgraded the 18K resistor in the VFO.  I also performed K9STH's mod 
of swapping the VFO tubes to a 6AH6 and 0B2 for improved 
stability.  The unit also currently has 3B28's, sans 866s.  I don't 
recall if I checked the filament wiring on these, so that will go on 
the list of to-do's.  No audio mods performed as I'm a CW guy.  :)

Again, thanks for the responses.. and thanks in advance for any 
further input from others.   I'll report back with progress.
