Ah NO,
actually this is "Still" a proper misconception. Most folks will tell
you that the HV output goes up.

The 1n2637 is a drop-in replacement for the 3B28, since it seems
lately folks don't understand the words they are hearing, that means
the ONLY difference between the two devices is one Glows, the
other does NOT.

Were that the case, a vast majority of equipment in existence, would have
had to be modified before it could be applied. That translates into time
and money (read cost) to the customer, who in all events would have
just gone to a company that could give them what they want.

Just plug them in turn the thing on and have fun. YMMV FWIW.
