Hooo Boy, you have a problem!  Clearly your Desk KW is not worth  
restoring.  If you are close enough, I'll come get it for parts in  
future restorations.

Seriously, I suggest you simply get a bunch of very good wire, and  
start from the beginning, stringing wire where it's needed.

Could be a challenge!
