That only works if the hand that's not in the pocket remains as disciplined.

Working in broadcast engineering, I had occasion to wipe the dust off a 
plastic plate current ammeter face.  Pushing for my Darwin Award, I did 
not ponder the question "why" when I noted that this meter face (not all 
the others) seemed the most dusty.

With the flat of my knuckles resting against a clearly-dangerous opening 
in the cabinet and my thumb casually brushing the meter face clean came 
  (witness statement here)  "...a bright blue flash.  And then I saw his 
body fly about 10 feet, impact the shelf of the AM transmitter, and hit 
the floor".

It was a religious station.

Since then I have switched to +12V and atheism.  I also spare 
correspondents my handwriting which has taken on a pitifully unstable 
appearance, perhaps emulating the near-death that might, had it fully 
done the job, saved you from having to read this at all.
