[Johnson] Johnson Valiant Zero

Hi Chris,

The zero setting keys everything except the final so the loudness of it
is dependent upon the controls being set for proper tuning and drive to
the final. If your final grid current is still showing around 8ma in
the zero position, then either your receiver sensitivity has dropped
(not too likely) or your shielding on the antenna lead is working better
than it was previously. The zero position really depends upon signal
leakage to the receiver antenna connection so if you have recently
improved your antenna cable connections or improved your grounding this
is likely to be the reason. If it remains a problem, you could try
adding a foot or so of unshielded wire connected directly to the
receiver antenna terminal and this will work if it does not pick up too
much other noise from the household wiring.
