Moderator note: I am on the National & Hallicrafters nets and only just
found out about the Johnson net. Please allow my query to post.

Message follows:

I just picked up an Invader 200 with a rather goofy problem. When I first
turned it on in the standby position, the transmitter went on the air. All the
controls are set as per the manual for tuneup but it goes on the air with the
switch still in the standby position. When I turn the knob to "man", the set
remains on transmit only this time the relay underneath the chassis closes and
the panel red light comes on. Power output remains the same. The bottom of
the chassis looks virgin. I see nothing that looks like tinkering from the
past.

Also, what is the 4 position switch for behind the second double knob down on
the left side of the panel. The 200 manual is silent about this thing. I have
to keep it fully clockwise in order for the meter to read.

Anybody got any ideas or things for me to try/check ??

PLease respind to me directly as I am not officially on the Johnson net.

Thanks, Glenn K6PZT
