Bob,
I am not sure. Are you referring to the EF Johnson mod (offered as a kit at
some time) that adds a 12AU7 on a sub-chassis added to the PA shield for
grid block keying? If so, then the 122 VFO changes necessary are not
compatible with the original cathode keying setup. MY only comment on the
mod is that it places a rather large negative voltage on the key (about -75
I think). The mod instructions (available at the BAMA site) caution about
this and offer a crude snubber idea.
