[Johnson] Rebuilding Johnson Navigator ???

I seem to recall someone actually measuring frequency drift with the 18K current limit resistor both in and out of the VFO compartment.  I recall the same thing as Glen that the data suggested the vfo was more stable with the resistor left in the compartment.  

When I replaced my 18K resistor back in 1997 or so, after it burned out and took out several tubes, I moved it out of the VFO  compartment.  If I were doing it today, I'd just replace the resistor and leave it in the compartment because I don't think its a big deal either way.  While the Valiant has the resistor outside of the vfo compartment, my Rangers have it inside, and I don't notice any difference.
