[Johnson] Ranger I - modulator bias resistor

Well, the Ranger (I) I bought at a recent hamfest has great output, but
little to no audio output and my modulator current is unstable to the
point that I can't get a good reading (i.e. a moving target).

After the post yesterday by another member having the same issue and
Rodger suggesting checking R-35; the big adjustable 20K resistor, I
looked at mine and found that the previous owner had removed it and
installed two 10K 10 watt fixed resistors in series and tapped between
the two. (Nice try but no cigar in my book). So, I need a replacement,
anyone have a good used spare or what's the current fix? 

Yes, I'm aware that I may have more issues that just that resistor, but
I need to start there.
