[Johnson] Matched tube sets for modulators???

All:
If you talked to me about anything "audiophool", (from
$1000 per foot "Dragonsnot" gold plated audio cable or
tube damperner devices), I would look at you with a
somewhat jaundiced eye. However, I have admit that
there seems to be logic on the tube matching thing.
But the thought that I'm having to "fight" is the
notion that the engineers, for example, at EF Johnson,
didn't go out of their way to make matching 1614 or
7027 tubes for their modulators.

So, is it worth the extra $10 to spend on the match
sets? I'm considering getting a pair of Sovtek 7027's
for my Ranger 2. Let me know. Inquiring minds want to
