Dennis,
You've got a fun combination. I used the Adventurer/Drake 2B combo for two
years as EL2AD in 1963-65. Had a Heath VF-1 VFO when I needed to move
around. The Adventurer is practically indestructable, just like the 2B.
Still have both units.

Subject: [Johnson] Newcomer to the List
Good morning!
I've recently acquired a Viking Adventurer off the e-place. From the date
codes on the tubes (two of them are original marked "made for E.F.Johnson by
RCA") the unit was packaged and sold some time in 1961. I intend to go
completely through it and put it back in service. Does anyone on the list
have any experiences with this neat little transmitter that I need to pay
attention to. I want to set it up with my Drake 2-B as a CW station.
Looking forward to your replies.
