Tom: I got a replacement at Mouser years ago.

I think a good addition (and one I'm primed to do as soon as I open the
Valiant again) is to add a small heatsink on the back of the pot.  That will
tend to dissipate some of the heat this thing generates...

Hi all

I am currently restoring a Johnson Viking Valiant to working condition. The
Rig has a bad pot for the drive control. The manual lists this pot as R-51.
It is a 25K wire wound pot. If anybody has one they can part with, for a
price of course, please let me know. If any of you know of a source for a
proper replacement that information would be appreciated. Thanks all.
