[Johnson] Is it Kit or Factory Wired?

I have purchased a very nice looking Johnson Ranger I
(complete with crystal door, believe it or not) and I
am curious to determine if it is a factory wired model
or a kit model.

You might say....."take it out of the case and look at
the wiring" but I don't want to take it apart if I can
help it. I am sure that the solder connections would
tell me but I thought the serial number might give me
a clue. Does anyone know if there were different
numbers used for factory wired models?
