I hesitate to get into this controversy again  -grin-   but the question of 
whether to fuse in just the hot lead or both is certainly open to debate.  I 
chose to mimic the original Johnson idea while still getting the grounding 
safety of the three-wire cord.  You would do fine to put both fuses series in the 
hot lead.  My way covers the possibility of a reversed outlet, but I see the 
wisdom in the other approach too and go that way in most other situations.  

In any case I think we would agree that my three-wire cord with two fuses is 
better than the original two-wire cord, right?  Hihi
