Never put a fuse in the neutral side of the line.  It is not safe.  Fuse the
hot side only.

One of the mods I made to my Ranger was to replace the power cord with a
three-wire unit with the chassis grounded via the third wire.  I also then
placed
a dual fuseholder on the inside surface of the chassis and fused both the
hot
and neutral lines.
