The rule of thumb is to run an AM linear AMP power input at no more than the
plate dissapation of the tube. For a 3-500Z that is 500 Watts.
30% efficiency in that mode means 150 Watts to the antenna.
Also, you will have to reduce the Ranger output to 20 watts or less, a
resistive attenuator is the best way to do it.
