The 6146W can be used in place of the 6146B / 8298A
(which they are just the "mil spec" equivalent) or for
the Japanese S2001A tube that are used in rigs like
the TS820.
By the way, any 6146W with a code date of 1963 or
before are the equivalent of the 6146A. Those with
code dates of 1965 or later are 6146B equivalents.
Unfortunately, those with a 1964 code date might be
either 6146A or 6146B equivalents since the military
contracts were not cyhanged on the same date.
