[Johnson] Viking II Filament Transformer

Does anyone have tips on how to  match up the wiring on a Filament transformer. The original transformer on My Viking II gave up the ghost and I have an original replacement for it.  The problem is the colors of the wiring harness have faded to the point it is hard to tell what color they are.  The Wiring schematic leaves a lot to be desired.  I am thinking of just setting up the transformer on the bench and powering it up and measuring the voltage on each of the pairs then I can match it up with the tab's on the rig.  Any Ideas out there.

I have not posted here in a long time.  My Johnson gear presently consists of a Viking I, and a Viking II transmitters and each have a M122 VFO.
