My vote on that one would be Paul Markavage, the
Manual Man. There are no annoying "homebrew" covers or
odd bindings and his manual seems much more in keeping
with the old manuals. As to a competitor, I really was
annoyed when the person who sold me his SX-100 gave me
the competitor's manual and in big bold letters
written across the front page was "HalliCARFTERS"
SX-100. So much for quality control.
