I have a nice Matchbox which I picked up at a hamfest a few years back.
Finally put it in line at the station but noted that someone had
disconnected the receiver line from the large inductor inside the unit.
They had also wired the T/R relay so the transmitter was always connected to
the antenna.
 
My question is where and on which inductor does the receiver antenna lead
get placed?
On the small inductor wound about the large one, or on the large one itself?
And where is a good starting point for the tap if I have a 300 ohm input on
the receiver.
 
The Johnson manual does not seem to address this.
