[Johnson] White dots on knobs

I've replaced many of the little white "dots" on the knobs. Here is what I did.

I found a small (about 1/8 inch) dowel, cut it into one inch pieces. Sanded one end of each (just enough to remove any splinters) and then stuck them on a foam rubber, cardboard or styrofoam card (to hold them vertical). I then spray painted with a white epoxy type paint. After they are dry, just cut them to about 1/4 inch with a fine tooth hobby saw, put a tiny drop of glue on one end and place the dowel into the knob hole. Looks just like original.
