[Johnson] Johnson Viking 500 Mods

Evening all,

Were there "versions" of the Johnson 500? I am restoring a couple at the 
moment and I have noted some variations in wiring (not audio). Or were 
there factory modifications? If so, does anyone have details?

Lastly does anyone have "recommended" modifications not including audio 
changes which I have.
