[Johnson] Fw: Viking II Plate Parasitic Suppressors

My apologies to the group for the lateness of my reply...

I am presently looking at BOTH schematics before me, i.e. one for the Viking II "C-C", & the other for the stock Viking II. The "C-C" shows parasitic suppressors R128 & R129 in the plate leads of the two 807 modulator tubes, i.e. 22 ohms each. There is also a 100 ohm suppressor resistor in each of the 807 grid leads, i.e. 100 ohms each (R126 & R127).

By contrast, Figure 12 of my stock V-II manual does NOT show ANY plate parasitic suppressors in the final audio stage whatever. The 100 ohm grid suppressors, however, are there (R10 & R11).

Did Johnson build different generations of rigs, improving things as they went along, unannounced & unheralded...?
