[Johnson] New PTT circuit for Ranger?

Did anyone happen to check out the latest ER and Hal Guertzky's PTT article for the Ranger? I thought it was brilliant. Only question is: how long can a relay last in the center tap of the power transformer? What concerns me is that because of the relay's nomally ON status, eventually, one would expect that relay to fail (after how many "on" hours, I don't know). But should that relay fail, exactly how much voltage to ground can one expect from the center tap to ground? I suspect it is pretty high. Correct me if I'm wrong, though. Thanks. Cal, n6KYR
