[Johnson] Navigator Meter

Hello All - I was fortunate to find a Navigator at a local hamfest
yesterday. It seems the meter is in need of repair. The meter shunt for the
plate current (33 ohm 1 watt??) was cracked in half and I suspect that
failure took out the meter itself. The meter movement seems OK as I can tap
it and it is not "frozen". However , no continuity. I have tried to remove
the meter face but it appears to have some glue around the edges and I don't
want to destroy the cover getting it off. I'm at a point where I don't know
if I want to spend any more time or money. Is there a "fix" for this meter?
a replacement available? (ha Ha). I may sell the rig to someone with more
time and expertise.
I still have to figure out what the resistor fried. I know it can't be
serious, as I have all the stages working up to the final. Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance
