Another thing to think about is the fact that the Windom antenna as it built 
today is not the original design.  The Original was not fed with coax or 
ladder line it was
fed by a simple wire, it tapped the horizontal part of the antenna at the 
desired
impedance point. The only thing the modern "Windom" shares with the original 
is it
over all shape, it is a much better design.
