Yes!

The more power the exciter is putting out the more out
of the linear.  Of course, you don't want much more
than about 10 watts (which is what the old Heath SB-10
put out) peak power.  Actually, with three 6146 tubes
the Valiant II could take up to around 15 watts
maximum.
