4-400s are a direct replacement for the PL175 except that you may have to re
neutralize the amplifier. I would check it at any rate. The PL175 will
produce a little more power output but otherwise is quite similar to the
4-400. EF Johnson often supplied either one or the other. I have a Viking
500 that has a PL175 in it. They are getting rather hard to find now so I
will replace it with a 4-400 when the time comes.

Where to get them ?? Ham Fests or Antique Radio Supply I guess.
