whatever you do, DONT replace them with those darned postage stamp sized 
RECEIVING silver mica's. They are trouble waiting to happen. They will on ly 
fry on you again.

What you need to put in there are 3KV Transmitting Silver mica's. If you 
can't junk box them, or get th em from a friend, call Surplus Sales of 
Nebraska. I don't like thier prices but they have the good stuff.

You will have to make room for them in there but you can do it.

I have had this same problem with TWO Valiants in the past and trust me, this 
will fix it.

Now..  after you replace those, check your RF choke for the Plate section 
real carefully, along with the two ceramic disc caps that go before and after 
it... they will usually take a pretty good hit when those output loading caps 
go.
