[Johnson] Power Cord Upgrade

One thing to make sure of is that the conductor in the house outlet
that goes to the wider of the two slots is actually the neutral (at or
close to ground) and the narrow slot is the hot lead.

After you put in the adapter mentioned in the last post, get one of
those little AC polarity checkers from Radio Shack and make sure
ground, neutral, and hot are what they are supposed to be.

The adapter will be correct in either the upper or lower outlet but
NOT both.

And the center screw may not be connected to a ground. In which case
you have to get the ground from elsewhere to make the test.
