[Johnson] Another thunderbolt question

Many thanks to Cal and Pete, and all others who
replied to the question about 160 meters.
Another question:  Besides the Ranger, which will need
some kind of swamp attenuator, I am thinking of using
an FT-817 (which puts out about 5 watts on SSB and CW)
to drive the Thunderbolt.  Is this possible?  Will the
Thunderbolt "self-destruct" or start to oscillate
uncontrollably if the drive iw below about 15 watts?
