[Johnson] Valiant/Ranger meter shunts

Hello, list.

OK, it's been a long afternoon on Tallokas hill, and I'm still going
'round and 'round with a Valiant, trying to get the *&^*ing thing
working again. Finished replacing the fixed loading capacitors. Aux
loading now works the way it should, but now, during tune-up, circa 60
watts out (measured) requires in excess of 400 mA plate current (e.g.
the plate current meter pegs). Obviously the plate current shunt is
suspect. Measured same with my Fluke 189. While not terribly accurate
using this measurement scheme, that .202 ohm hairpin of whatever
measured more like .5 ohm. Nardling fardwarks!

So... what's the prevailing wisdom for replacing the plate current &
modulator current shunts in the Valiants and Rangers (I have two Rangers
waiting in the wings, you see). What replacements are you using & where
are you getting them?

Oh, by the way... where is the plate current shunt located in a Ranger?
Can't find it in the owner's manual or assembly manual.
