I remember seeing an amp built back in the 70's in some handbook or
magazine that used 4 sweep tubes i think. Lotta space and "i think"
statements here huh?
Anyway they used tip sleeve type jacks in the cathode circuit so that
you could plug in a meter and measure any one tubes cathode current.
They also did something else so you could adjust it from the front
panel. You could do the same with a rotary switch for measurement with
a single meter.
Wish i could remember where i saw that. Looked like a nice way to set
up the tubes so they each drew equal amounts of power. May not have
been commercial quality but it appeared to work just fine.
